Uranium (as of 2024)
[edit]2024-June-18: Finland seems to be in a special position (in the EU) in regard to Uranium.--Source YLE.fi, "Suomi on nyt Euroopan ainoa uraanin tuottaja – Sotkamon uraanikaivos tuottaa polttoainetta yhden ydinvoimalan tarpeeseen", Link, https://yle.fi/a/74-20094118. Should uranium (or a uranium-related article) be mentioned in the Finland article? Please edit the article (while i fix other articles). 80.67.37.2 (talk) 14:27, 18 June 2024 (UTC)
- Economy_of_Finland#Mining is very lackluster, consisting of just a list of notable mines. It should contain an overview of the minimg industry in Finland, like most countries. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 20:35, 18 June 2024 (UTC)

The second sentence of Note 2 (Bolded):
"Finland was the first nation in the world to give all (adult) citizens full suffrage, in other words the right to vote and to run for office, in 1906. New Zealand was the first country in the world to grant all (adult) citizens the right to vote, in 1893. But women did not get the right to run for the New Zealand legislature, until 1919."
might be better as the following:
"Finland was the first nation in the world to give all (adult) citizens full suffrage, in other words the right to vote and to run for office, in 1906. New Zealand was the first country in the world to grant all (adult) citizens the right to vote in 1893, but women did not get the right to run for the New Zealand legislature until 1919."
as the extra comma is removed and the last sentence no longer begins with "but".

Full independence
[edit]Is there a reason why every instance of "independence" was changed to "full independence"?[1] I keep seeing this being changed in other articles, including referring to the Grand Duchy of Finland as "an autonomous state ruled by the Russian Empire". Personally I do not see the point of changing this to "full independence". Mellk (talk) 12:08, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
